RILEY DEETER

Riley joined the Mission staff family full-time in June of 2022, and shortly after, he married his best friend, Maddie. Riley grew up in the area, being born and raised in Joliet, IL, and grew up involved in ministry. Riley has volunteered at church for as long as he can remember and, in high school, he co-founded a creativity-focused ministry. Through this ministry, he had the opportunity to build teams and lead worship at various churches, camps, concerts, and other events across the country. A few of those events happened to be Mission Bible Church youth retreats and events, where he was first introduced to Mission. In between his time on the road with his own ministry and playing drums for multiple artists, he worked as a Media Assistant at another local church, and went on to become their Music Director before finally landing in his current role at Mission Bible Church.

Riley is passionate about creative people, and seeing them empowered to use their own voice both in and outside of the Church. On his off days, you can find him snacking on the couch with his wife, traveling to a new place, or drumming and directing a worship team at various events and conferences.
